Autumn is the peak season for crustacea. Shrimp fishing is an exclusive activity for Taiwanese culture. Friends will be shrimp fishing together, using the shrimp rods for public use. But using those rods, you can't show your actual fishing skills. You have to use your own equipment. After arriving at the tackle shop, we have trouble selecting fishing equipment. We would like to share a rig. By using this rig, you don't have to adjust the weight and can fire away as long as you see the signal

The key for anglers is the shrimp rods. We suggest you use the HR Yan Rong IV 5/6/7, to deal with the shrimp ponds for most of the rods North of Gao Shiung. Shrimp rods are the extension of our hands, the mainline is suggested to use shorter ones. For instance, if we are using 7 feet rods, we can use lines the length of 6 feet. It will be more agile while you are waving the rod. And can avoid the ling being too long.

The lollipop apo has a floatage around 1.5g, using the Yan Rong R base of 20cm, it weighs about 1.1g. The R base quick snap weighs about 0.08g with the red prawn hook rig. It has the perfect weight while all things are attached to it. You don't need an extra sinker. The reason we use the red prawn hook rig is the long hook tip. It can penetrate well, making the shrimp more likely not to fall off while shrimps on. We can use hooks of the size 8.5 because the size of the hook will not affect any shrimps. Bigger hooks have a better hit rate and are easier to unhook the shrimp.

After adjusting the rig, there is one most important aspect. We have to measure the depth of the water. We have a saying, there will be no trouble shrimp fishing if we measure the water depth correctly. The rig has to float away from the bottom about 1cm. The key is to adjust the lollipop float to the correct water level

The  lollipop apo rigs have some good characteristics for beginners：

1. There is an additional balanced tube at the bottom of the lollipop. It can avoid the mainline from affecting the float causing false signal
2. The instructions are clear and can overcome the lights and reflections in the shrimp farm
3. Accurate signal conduction, over eighty percent of the signals are accurate and the shrimps bite on the positive side
4. The clean rig is most likely not to tangle with the line. This reflects a lot on beginners. If you miss, the line will not tangle
5. The rig can avoid adjusting weight, and can save time for beginners
