Summer is the breeding season of snakehead fish, they really like hot temperature, even if it’s over 28°C or low in oxygen would not bother them at all, so in Taiwan you can not only target on bass but also snakehead fish, snakehead fish is aggressive and straightforward to bite lure, the numbers of them is also a lot, so the selection on lure is more easy.
The spot where lure drop at is better near ground structure good for hiding, since snakehead like to hide along the edge of structure then attack from beneath, it’s better to drop the lure at where they can attack immediately.
Lure selection is mainly on tangle free soft worm and water surface lure, snake head fish usually eat little fish and frog, so fish shape lure is suggested, also you can mimic fish movement with T-shape tail or mouse tail soft worm to stimulate them to attack.
When you use T-shape tail soft worm, you can combine using with crank hook to achieve good tangle free effect, also it can be used on all water layers.
